About the Author
Lois Birkenshaw-Fleming
Lois Birkenshaw-Fleming has taught children from nursery-school age to Grade 6. She knows first-hand the magic music can have and how it can enrich and change children’s lives.
She was the director of the Orff program for the Toronto District School Board for many years and has given workshops and courses at conferences and in universities in all parts of Canada, in most states in the USA, in England, Austria, France, Finland and South Africa.
Lois was also the Director of Orff Teacher Training at the Royal Conservatory of Music and is a specialist in adapting music programs for children and adults who have special needs.
